Railway Recruitment 2018 for 26502 Vacancies

Railway Recruitment Notification 2018 Released with huge vacancies this time with 26502 vacancies. This is a good chance for aspirants who are preparing for competitive exams.
Posts include Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) & Technicians.

It is the good chance for Engineers and ITI persons. 

AGE LIMIT: 18 to 28 years. The lower and upper age limit is common for all the notified posts and the same shall be reckoned as on 01.07.2018. 
Age relaxation will be applied for reserved categories. SC/ST - 5 Years, OBC (non creamy layer) - 3 years. 


EXAMINATION FEE:

For all candidates except the fee concession categories - 500/-
For Candidates belonging to SC / ST / Ex-Serviceman / PWDs / Female / Transgender / Minorities / Economically backward class.                                       - 250/-

Important Dates:

Application Start Date  : 03.02.2018.
Application Close Date: 05.03.2018 up to 23.59 Hrs.

Qualification:

  1.  Candidates with ITI/Trade( in respective field)
  2. Candidates holding Degree, Diploma and HSC (10+2)  for ALP( Diploma, or BTech in the respective field)

Selection Procedure:

It is 3 or 4 stage selection procedure, The following is the detailed information.

 First Stage CBT (Common for ALP/Technician) :

Duration: 60 Min, 
No of Questions: 75 

Minimum percentage of marks for eligibility in various categories : 
UR -40%,
 OBC-30%, 
SC-30%, 
ST -25%. 
These percentage of marks for eligibility may be relaxed by 2% for PWD candidates in case of shortage of PWD candidates against vacancies reserved for them. 

The Questions will be of objective type with multiple choices and are likely to include questions pertaining to:

  1. Mathematics 
    • Number system, BODMAS, Decimals, Fractions, LCM, HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Percentages, Mensuration, Time and Work; Time and Distance, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and Loss, Algebra, Geometry and Trigonometry, Elementary Statistics, Square Root, Age Calculations, Calendar & Clock, Pipes & Cistern etc. 
  2. General Intelligence and Reasoning
    • Analogies,Alphabetical and Number Series, Coding and Decoding, Mathematical operations, Relationships, Syllogism, Jumbling, Venn Diagram, Data Interpretation and Sufficiency, Conclusions and Decision Making, Similarities and Differences, Analytical reasoning, Classification, Directions, Statement – Arguments and Assumptions etc. 
  3. General Science
    • The syllabus under this shall cover Physics, Chemistry and Life Sciences of 10th standard level. 
  4. General awareness on current affairs
    • Science & Technology, Sports, Culture, Personalities, Economics, Politics and other subjects of importance. 

Second Stage CBT 

Total Duration:2 hours and 30 Minutes (for Part Aand Part B together) The Second Stage CBT shall have two parts viz Part Aand Part B as detailed below.

PART A 
Duration: 90 Min,
No of Questions: 100

Sections: Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Basic Science and Engineering, General Awareness on Current Affairs

PART B

Duration: 60 Min,
No of Questions: 75
Qualifying Mark: 35 % (This is applicable to all candidates and no relaxation is permissible)

PART C
Computer Based Aptitude Test (Only for candidates who have opted for ALP)

PART D

Certificate verification for selected candidates.
